Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Ultrasound (ultrasonography) is an increasingly widespread imaging exploration technique, without which today the diagnosis of many medical and surgical conditions is unthinkable. It is a “real-time” diagnostic method, based on the differentiated transmission of ultrasound through various types of tissue.

Ecografia

The General Electric equipment in the MedicalES centers allows performing complex ultrasound examinations at the level of numerous anatomical segments:

  • abdominal ultrasound – the standard exploration of choice in liver, biliary, renal, pancreatitis or genital pathology –
  • using convex transducers or the special transducer for endocavitary ultrasound
    using the linear transducer, the thyroid, the mammary gland can be explored, and the ultrasound of soft parts can be performed, as well as the vascular ultrasound (of the vessels of the neck and peripheral vessels) using the power Doppler and color Doppler techniques
  • ultrasound exploration in pregnancy has reached a level of accuracy unimaginable until a few years ago. The 3D/4D techniques that use a special type of transducer in our equipment allow, on the one hand, to follow the pregnancy from an early age, to identify early certain fetal malformations, and on the other hand, to reveal some morphological details in real time so that practically parents “know” their fetus before it is born.
  • cardiac ultrasound – using all modern techniques: B-mode, color and pulsed Doppler is today an indispensable part of a complete cardiological consultation.

Fetal morphology

The 3D/4D techniques that use a special type of transducer in our equipment, allow on the one hand to follow the pregnancy from an early age, the early identification of certain fetal malformations, and on the other hand to reveal some morpholmagical details in real time that practically parents << know their fetus >> before it is born.

Voluson E6

In the MedicalES Izvor center, ultrasound investigations are performed with state-of-the-art ultrasound machines produced by General Electric. The Voluson E6 is the highest performing ultra-specialized ultrasound machine in 3D and 4D examinations and has the most advanced hardware and software technologies to obtain spectacular images of your future baby, right from the first trimester of pregnancy.

The ultrasound machine is also equipped with the most advanced probe technology for the examination of the breast and soft tissue – which gives a precise resolution of the anatomical details of the breast, musculoskeletal regions or soft parts.

VividT8 Pro

The VIVIDT8 Pro echocardiograph is ultra-specialized in cardiovascular examinations, offering the clearest imaging details of the heart and the vascular system, with state-of-the-art technologies such as Tissue Doppler that allows the assessment of global systolic cardiac function.

Corometrics 172

The MedicalES Izvor Clinic has a General Electric Corometrics 172 cardiotocograph, offering expectant mothers the opportunity to perform non-stress fetal tests. The Corometrics 172 system is a highly accurate piece of equipment and can also be used for twin tasks.

The non-stress fetal test (NTS or cardiocotogram) is a non-invasive test performed to assess the health of the fetus, especially in high-risk pregnancies, and involves monitoring the fetal heart rate, fetal movements, and heart rate changes during fetal movements. The purpose of electronic fetal monitoring for prenatal testing is to differentiate the fetus that tolerates the intrauterine environment well, from the fetus that may be at risk and requires evaluation.

Vinno E10

In the Riverside 1 clinic is the Vinno E10 ultrasound machine that perfectly encompasses the tools and mechanisms of a fast and efficient method of ultrasonographic diagnosis. The basic technology of the Vinno E10 ultrasound machine, platform with RF modulation, innovation of the Vinno company – VISION IN INNOVATION – is the basis of the superior quality of the image, the signal processing being of remarkable accuracy.

The VinnoCloud platform through the Artificial Intelligence functions of automatic diagnosis helps the specialist to make the decision quickly and safely. Vinno E10 is an ultrasound machine whose performance, flexible configuration and compact design meet a wide variety of clinical requirements and ensure a reliable diagnosis.

Annually there are 2.08 million new cases of breast cancer, and unfortunately 627,000 women die from this fatal disease. The late diagnosis of these tumors is one of the factors influencing the figures above.
The involvement of VINNO engineers in the prevention of this disease among women and in the continuous development of ultrasonography gave birth to VAid technology.

Unique technology, VINNO innovation, helps in the early detection of a breast injury, identifying a correct and important diagnosis for the life and safety of the patient, through an artificial intelligence system of automatic detection of any breast injury.

VINNO uses through the FLYINSONO platform data from hundreds and thousands of examinations to establish the characteristics of breast lesions scanned and entered into the system and allowing their analysis to determine the probability of the lesion being malignant or benign.
The self-learning algorithm used (“Artificial Intelligence”) can improve the accuracy of diagnostic image analysis results by providing analysis, segmentation and assessment of lesion characteristics.

Patient preparation for ultrasound

In order to obtain a good visualization of the organs/vessels, it is recommended:

  • do not eat or consume coffee or acidic juices 6 hours before the investigation;
  • you can drink some plain water (a glass)

on the day before the investigation, take the following medicines:

  • Sab Simplex or Espumisan: 1 tablespoon in the evening before the examination and 1 tablespoon 3 hours before the examination;
  • Debridet, tablet 100 mg: 1 cpr x 3/day.

In order to obtain a good visualization of the organs/vessels, it is recommended:

  • do not eat or consume coffee or acidic juices 6 hours before the investigation;
  • 1 hour before the investigation, drink 1 liter of plain water within 30 minutes and do not urinate, even if you feel this way; thus, the bladder will be full at the time of the investigation.
