Ultrasound

Ultrasound (ultrasonography) is an imaging technique without which the diagnosis of many medical and surgical conditions would be unthinkable today. It is a “real-time” diagnostic method based on the differential transmission of ultrasound waves through various types of tissue.

Modern ultrasound equipment makes ultrasound imaging one of the most accessible, safe, and rapid diagnostic tests.

General Electric Equipment

The General Electric equipment used at MedicalES centers enables complex ultrasound examinations of numerous anatomical regions:

  • Abdominal ultrasound—the standard imaging modality of choice for liver, biliary, and kidney disorders, pancreatitis, or conditions of the genitourinary system
  • Using conventional transducers or the special transducer for endocavitary ultrasound
  • Using the linear transducer, it is possible to examine the thyroid and mammary glands, and to perform soft-tissue ultrasound as well as vascular ultrasound (of the neck and peripheral vessels) using Power Doppler and color Doppler techniques
  • Cardiac ultrasound—using all modern techniques, including B-mode, color Doppler, and pulsed Doppler—is now an indispensable part of a comprehensive cardiology consultation.
Fetal Morphology

The 3D/4D techniques, which use a special type of transducer included with our equipment, allow, on the one hand, for monitoring the pregnancy from an early stage and the early detection of certain fetal malformations, and, on the other hand, reveal anatomical details in real time so that parents can “get to know their baby” before birth.

Voluson E6

At the MedicalES Izvor Center, ultrasound examinations are performed using state-of-the-art ultrasound systems manufactured by General Electric. The Voluson E6 is the most advanced ultrasound system, specifically designed for 3D and 4D examinations, and features the most advanced hardware and software technologies to produce spectacular images of your future baby, starting as early as the first trimester of pregnancy.

In addition, the ultrasound machine is equipped with the most advanced probe technology for examining the breast and soft tissue—providing high-resolution imaging of the anatomical details of the breast, musculoskeletal regions, and soft tissues.

Vivid T8 Pro

The Vivid T8 Pro echocardiograph is highly specialized for cardiovascular examinations, providing the clearest imaging details of the heart and vascular system, and featuring state-of-the-art technologies such as Tissue Doppler, which allows for the assessment of global systolic cardiac function.

Vinno E10

At the Riverside 1 features the Vinno E10 ultrasound machine, which perfectly combines the tools and mechanisms needed for fast and efficient ultrasound diagnostics. The core technology of the Vinno E10 ultrasound system—an RF-modulated platform, an innovation from Vinno—is the foundation of its superior image quality, with signal processing of remarkable accuracy.

The VinnoCloud platform, with its artificial intelligence-powered automatic diagnostic features, helps specialists make decisions quickly and confidently. The Vinno E10 is an ultrasound system whose performance, flexible configuration, and compact design meet a wide range of clinical needs and ensure a reliable diagnosis.

Through the FLYINSONO platform, Vinno uses data from hundreds and thousands of examinations to determine the characteristics of breast lesions that have been scanned and entered into the system, enabling an analysis of these lesions to assess the likelihood that a lesion is malignant or benign.

The artificial intelligence algorithm can improve the accuracy of diagnostic image analysis results by providing analysis, segmentation, and evaluation of lesion characteristics.

To ensure a clear view of the organs and blood vessels, it is recommended that:

  • You do not eat or drink coffee or carbonated beverages for 6 hours before the test;
  • You can drink a little still water—about one glass;
  • On the day before the test, take the following medications:
  1. Sab Simplex or Espumisan: 1 tablespoon the evening before the exam and 1 tablespoon 3 hours before the exam;
  2. Debridat, 100 mg tablet: 1 tablet 3 times a day.

  • You do not eat or drink coffee or carbonated beverages for 6 hours before the test;
  • One hour before the test, drink 1 liter of still water over a 30-minute period and do not urinate, even if you feel the urge to do so; this will ensure that your bladder is full at the time of the test;
