Frequently Asked Questions
Quick Answers for MedicalES Patients
In this section, you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about appointments, access to clinics, and how medical tests are organized at MedicalES. We want you to have all the essential information before you arrive, so your experience is as clear and predictable as possible.
How can I make an appointment at MedicalES?
At MedicalES Clinics, you can schedule an appointment by phone, online, or in person at our locations.
Appointments can be made by calling the numbers listed in the Contact section or by filling out the appointment form on the website, including for services covered by CAS.
Do I need a doctor's referral for an MRI/CT scan?
For MRI and CT imaging tests covered by CAS, a referral from a specialist or primary care physician is required, in accordance with current regulations.
If you wish to undergo the examination on a self-pay basis, we recommend that you bring the relevant medical documents (medical letter, test results, previous examinations), even if you do not have a referral, so that we can assess your case as accurately as possible.
If I'm from outside Bucharest or Târgoviște, can I come with a referral?
Yes, you can undergo medical tests at MedicalES with a referral, even if you are insured in another county, as long as the referral is issued by a doctor who has a contract with the health insurance provider and is still valid.
We recommend that you contact us before scheduling your appointment to check the availability of slots covered by CAS and to find out what documents you’ll need on the day of the examination.
If I have claustrophobia, can I get an MRI at MedicalES clinics?
Yes, patients with claustrophobia can undergo MRI scans at MedicalES clinics. Our MRI machines feature the widest opening on the market, which reduces the feeling of being in a confined space and helps alleviate the discomfort experienced by patients with anxiety in such situations.
In addition, our staff has experience working with patients who suffer from claustrophobia and can explain each step of the examination to you, so that you feel safe throughout the procedure. For more information and to discuss your situation before your appointment, you can contact us at our main number, 031 9922, or at one of the phone numbers listed on our website.
Can I change or cancel an appointment? How far in advance?
Yes, appointments can be rescheduled or canceled—ideally at least 24 hours before the scheduled date—so that we can offer the slot to other patients who need testing.
If any unforeseen circumstances arise, please notify us as soon as possible by phone or text message, using the contact information for the clinic where you have an appointment.
Where are the MedicalES clinics located, and how do I get there?
You can find MedicalES Clinics in Bucharest (Izvor, Dorobanți, Phoenix, Pantelimon, Riverside, Burghele, etc.) and Târgoviște; the address and public transportation directions for each location are listed in the Contact section of the website.
You can choose the clinic closest to you by consulting the map and directions (addresses, public transportation routes, phone numbers) available online, and our team can provide additional guidance over the phone, if necessary.
